How I work
This is a quick post just to show how I draw go from a 3D coat model to the final rendered image.
Each picture differs in how I go through the process and what type of textures I use, but this will give you a general idea.

Choke
I wanted to experiment with a different facial expression and an action, so I picked someone being choked as it gave me a chance to try out a pain filled expression along with a hand.

Improvement
So I only started this style of drawing yesterday, in 24 hours I have done an extra two drawings and I have to say, I can already see a vast improvement.
Here is the first:
Here is the first:
A queen, but this time I tried to draw hair. I also added veins and ageing to her skin. As my mum pointed out her hair seemed a bit static and as if it was a later addition, so I did another design:
This time a Disney/Pixar Brave inspired warrior. I tried to add more life to the eyes and expression, I also tried to make the hair less static by adding wisps and a broader range of colour. On top of that I added a few 'imperfections' which includes a mole on his right shoulder and a scar on his left.
I am proud with how quickly I have improved with this technique and I hope to keep getting better.
Character designs
Here are a load of character designs I did, first is a Faun:
Secondly is a man, that seems to have got himself into a bit of trouble. First I sketched it in Photoshop to get an idea of the character, then I modelled it in 3D coat to get a better idea of form and the shadow. Then lastly I moved it back into Photoshop to colour texture and add detailing.
