Been a while

I know it has been a while! I have been so busy with trying to find a job and University that I have completely forgotten to updates this. So what's been happening you might ask. Well, I have completed the chair that was for my dad, I will put a picture up once I take a picture. I am in my second year at the University of Lincoln and having fun.
Also here is a picture I have drawn that was inspired by the abnormal amount of Swans in Lincoln. Done on Photoshop. I am pretty proud of it!

Upcycling

This is the result of my first project at uni, we had to make an upcycled product. I have made this ceiling hanging pendant light out of a tin and drinks bottles. Here it isn't hung, purely because it makes it eaasier to photograph.

First Undercoat

I've done the first undercoat, I have atleast one more to do before painting on the main colour.

Here are a few old design drawings I did during college during early 2011. I believe... well I hope my techniques and designs have improved, but just incase I think I'll do some practicing so I'm a pro when I start uni.

I've decided to show you something a bit different today, one of the emulsion prints I made a couple of weeks ago,  'Chill'.

Stripped and Sanded

My chair has FINALLY been stripped and sanded, it took so long because I did about an hour a week (sometimes less) when I was taking the leather off. It was very difficult to take the leather off because I didn't have the right equipment but it was worth it. The sanding only took about an hour because it was a light sand, just to lighten the dark colour and to roughen the wood up before painting. Now it's time to thoroughly clean the wood before painting!!
