Another win under my belt

Hopefully you saw on another post that I had won a competition to have my work up outside Lincoln Cathedral. Well I have more good news, I have won another competition. This time my work will be hung in the new Extension of University of Lincoln Library. I am just so happy. Last time I was this happy I was given a onesie for my birthday.
Here is the image:

Trumpet and horn speaker

Have a project due in on Tuesday that involved creating a desktop item out of other unused items. So I have created this speaker. The idea is the speaker itself it in the trumpet.
I am so happy with this design.
Hopefully after it has been marked I get to take it home and get it working!

Ireland 2013

In July 2013 I went with my parents to Ireland for a holiday and I thought I would share some of the images with you.
Some photos were taken with a digital camera and other with an old camera that used film.

I didn't take the above picture, my dad did, but I think it is a great one.

Here I am with my lovely mother in a small cave in Blarney Castle. When I say small, I mean small! It is a long, tunnel with a bit of water underfoot, then after a minute or two of walking you get to this. An area that is big enough  for me to stand in (I'm 5ft 1 and a little bit). You don't fully get to see all the names people have written on there until you shine a light.

Went out rowing and had this lovely weather.

There are a load of lights hung together to form a 3D woman.

Food and Farming Competition

I entered a competition a few weeks back, where you had to design a piece of work to go over the boards that hide the scaffolding at Lincoln Cathedral. The theme was food and farming.

Well this was my entry:

In the background is the Cathedral and Castle. And well, I won, I am one of the people whose picture is going to be shown for all who brave Steep Hill to see! I am so happy!

Upholstered Chair

Here is the chair I upholstered for my dad, I am super happy with it and more importantly so is he. There are two types of fabric on this chair which I will post photos and information of later in the week.

3D Coat Helmet

I drew this bird inspired helmet on 3D coat, a brilliant little programme! If you've never hear of it, it is basically a 3D modelling programme that allows you to sculpt an object much like if you were sculpting in clay. It is really good for organic and unusual shapes, you are also able to UV map and render to create a realistic image. Unfortunately I am only using a trial and have a couple of days left on it, so I might just have to buy it because I love it so much.

Been a while

I know it has been a while! I have been so busy with trying to find a job and University that I have completely forgotten to updates this. So what's been happening you might ask. Well, I have completed the chair that was for my dad, I will put a picture up once I take a picture. I am in my second year at the University of Lincoln and having fun.
Also here is a picture I have drawn that was inspired by the abnormal amount of Swans in Lincoln. Done on Photoshop. I am pretty proud of it!
That is all for now, see you later!
